Wilmington, DE (February 4, 2013) – Kendle Smith, of Anaheim, California, has received an All-American Scholarship for his outstanding sales achievement with Vector Marketing, the company that sells Cutco Cutlery. With more than 40,000 sales representatives, Smith ranked #7, for the most recent campaign. This is the ninth time he has won a scholarship with the company. He began working with Vector in January 2006.
The Vector Marketing All-American scholarship program salutes those students who have excelled in their roles as sales representatives, while maintaining the demanding life of a college student. Each year, Vector recognizes its top 100 sales representatives, during three separate scholarship competitions.
Smith took a two year break from school and Vector Marketing to service as a missionary for his church and returned to California Polytechnic State University – Ponoma and Vector in September of 2010. He is a senior finance major and got married in 2012. Smith is a Cutco sales professional (CSP) with the company. The CSP position is a distinction reserved for the most serious sales representatives who have chosen to make a career out of selling Cutco Cutlery.
“Working with Vector has taught me communication skills, work ethic and time-management. If you set goals and work hard for them, you’ll accomplish much and go far in life. One of the perks of working for this company is that I was able to take time away to dedicate to my church and then come back to rebuild my business,” says Smith.
