DAVENPORT, Iowa, July 23, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via PRWEB - Thirty-five Vector Marketing district managers and staff will hand out some 150 boxed lunches at a Davenport-area Salvation Army July 31 as part of the company's efforts to serve the community.Vector Marketing, the sales arm of Cutco Cutlery, is partnering with a local Salvation Army to help feed impoverished residents and raise money for the nonprofit's services.

Vector leadership will be soliciting donations at the company's SC2 conference July 30-31, a regional conference for nearly 500 Cutco sales representatives across the Midwest. The managers and staff will also be making boxed lunches as part of the conference. They will distribute them at a shelter dinner at the Salvation Army, so that the individuals that come for dinner can take an additional meal for the next day.

The goal is to provide food and money for those in need, and also to inspire the company's young managers and staff to commit to a life of service. "I believe that you feel more fulfilled when you give to others in need," said Cindy Mohrmann, Cutco promotions and publications manager. "In our company, we promote that in order to become successful, you must help others be successful first. It's beneficial to everyone involved." This is the fourth consecutive year for the Central Region to host a service project attached to SC2.
