Customer Sales Representative - Part Time

Vector Marketing’s entry level sales positions offer valuable real world work experience and are a great addition to any resume. With a busy year ahead, you can benefit from a part-time position that pays weekly and provides a flexible schedule.

Primary responsibilities include selling our Cutco products used in the home, primarily focused on kitchen items along with some gardening tools, answering questions, and submitting orders. Previous sales or work experience is not required. Reps enjoy the flexibility to set their own schedules.

Position Details:

• Excellent pay – We have a commission structure based on performance. There is an opportunity to earn more, while still offering a fallback option so sales reps can earn income even during an off week. Reps are paid weekly.
• Solid training – We have been training individuals to succeed for over 40 years. Even if someone decides not to stay long term, the sales, networking, and communication skills they develop are valuable in any field. Since most reps begin with no experience, they appreciate starting with people they know and building referrals with trusted individuals.
• Flexible scheduling – We help our reps design a schedule that works best for them. Some work as much as possible, some choose a part-time schedule, while others look for flexible work around full-time jobs, internships, sports commitments, classes, or family obligations.
• Location – Sales reps work locally after completing training. Meetings and training sessions are typically held in the office.
• Advancement – Reps who remain long term, even part time, have opportunities to move into different paths including management and professional sales careers.

Basic Requirements:

• 18 years or older, or 17 and a high school graduate

Who would do well:

Since the work involves interacting with people, we have seen success with reps who have prior experience in admin, retail, fast food, cashier roles, administrative assistant positions, receptionist duties, office work, serving, landscaping, and many other fields. Some have had no prior work experience. We welcome all applicants who have a positive attitude and enjoy working with people.

Flexible Schedules

Since our sales reps are independent contractors, your work schedule is entirely up to you. Whether you want to schedule five appointments in one day or just a couple in one week - it's your choice.

Many of our sales reps work part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer or winter break, but whenever you're able to work, we'll provide you with the training and support you need to successfully sell Cutco®.

Not a student? No worries! Some of our reps are just looking for an opportunity to make up for a lack of hours at another job.

Professional Training

New sales representatives participate in a two or three-day training session at their local office. While training is unpaid, most participants consider it to be a worthwhile experience and a productive use of their time. Basically, it'll teach you how to sell Cutco®. Our experienced managers will show you things like business strategies, demonstration techniques, and what you can look forward to as a Cutco sales rep.

Don't worry about prior experience - whether you're a sales pro or you're just starting your first job, we'll teach you everything you need to know!

We value learning. One of the ways we encourage our reps to build upon their Cutco skills is to make the most of our year-round training resources. You'll have an opportunity to participate in team meetings, attend regional conferences, and regularly meet with your local manager.

All-American Scholarships

Every year, we give away a total of $40,000 to full-time undergraduate students who excel at selling Cutco®. In the fall and spring, the top 25 students qualify, and during the summer it's awarded to the top 50.

Don't worry, no essay is required. But, it takes a ton of hard work and persistence to earn this.
